The Senior Adults of Rocky Hock Baptist Church are comprised of all senior adults from the age of 60 up. Our mission for these adults is to promote them and involve them in Christian fellowship, Bible Study, missions opportunities, and social events which include a Valentine’s Banquet; luncheons; Bible Study on Tuesday mornings; Senior Day in May in which they participate in the Sunday morning service; and trips. Trips are taken all during the year as time allows. Some of these trips have been to see ‘The Play’, an Easter Pageant in Virginia; to Myrtle Beach; to Murfreesboro to the Jeffcoat Museum; on the Norfolk Naval Base Harbor Tour; to Lancaster, Pennsylvania; to the Outer Banks Music Showcase; to a mountain retreat; and a yearly shopping trip to Williamsburg. Every effort is taken to ensure that all our seniors receive assistance as needed and that they are never left out of any church function if it is possible for them to attend. For our homebound seniors, all efforts are made to supply them with DVD’s of the Sunday church service and any special services that are recorded. Meals are delivered also whenever meals are served for different events held at the church.

 

Our mission is to honor our Seniors and to have God glorified as they live and serve here at Rocky Hock Baptist Church.
