Minister of Youth and Children
I am Mike Denny, the Youth and Children’s Minister here at Rocky Hock Baptist Church since January 2015. I am married to Heather and we have four kids, Landon, Will, Owen and Ryan. We enjoy traveling, camping and just spending time together. I am currently a student at Liberty University working on a B.S. in Religion of Biblical and Theological Studies. I have been working in student ministries for 13 years and have a passion to invest in young lives and see them grow in their relationship with God, each other, and the community. One of my favorite verses, Romans 5:8 - But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us.”
Minister of Music and Education
I am Pastor Tyler Cone, Minister of Music and Education at Rocky Hock Baptist Church. I began serving here in April of 2015. I am a native of Spring Hope, NC. I began directing choirs at the age of 16. After graduating from high school I felt God calling me into the ministry and enrolled at Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary. I hold a B.A. in Christian Studies and Music from Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary. I am currently pursuing my Master of Arts in Christian Studies and Leadership from Liberty University. I have a true passion for leading others in music as they are using the talents that the Lord has blessed them with. I enjoy working with adult, senior adult, children, youth, and handbell choirs. I desire to see the lost people come to surrender their whole life to serving Christ, and to see believers grow in their walk with Christ by knowing God’s word, trusting it and living daily by it so that one day they will hear the Lord saying, “Well done Thy good and faithful servant!”
I am Linda B. Bunch, the Administrative Assistant at Rocky Hock Baptist Church. My duties began here in November 2007 and have expanded over the course of these few years to encompass much more than a "secretarial" position. I truly enjoy my work and feel that God has placed me where He wants me to be. Perquimans County is where I grew up, but Rocky Hock has been my home for over 20 years. My husband, Stanley, and I have one son, Joseph, who attends John A. Holmes High School and plays trumpet for the Marching Aces. As a family, we love camping, boating, fishing, and gardening. It's a pleasure for me to be able to work in the community where I live, and I look forward to many years of serving our Lord together!
